The highly anticipated film, His Weakest Creatures, directed by Omar Hilal, is set to begin principal photography on November 14th. This marks a significant comeback for Helmy, who has been on a three-year hiatus, and will see him portray a principled zoologist working at Cairo's iconic Giza Zoo. In a world of dwindling resources and institutional decay, Helmy's character grapples with upholding his values while facing mounting financial pressures at home.

A Tale of Faith and Survival
Joining Helmy is the talented Hend Sabry, who will play his wife, navigating the complex emotions of faith, fear, and survival. Sabry's recent credits, including Netflix's Finding Ola and the Egyptian blockbuster Kira & El Gin, showcase her versatility and star power.
This collaboration has been teased for some time, but now, we finally have the details!
The film is a joint venture between Cairo's Film Clinic and Dubai's Front Row Filmed Entertainment, who previously worked together on the Arabic remake of Perfect Strangers, Netflix's first local-language original feature. They are joined by Arabia Pictures, fresh from their collaboration on the Saudi fantasy rom-com A Matter of Life and Death, and B Square, led by producer Ahmad Badawi, known for Egyptian hits like Welad Rizk 3.
Director Hilal is no stranger to success, having previously directed the breakout hit Voy! Voy! Voy!, Egypt's submission to the 2024 Academy Awards, which grossed over $6 million across the region.
"His Weakest Creatures is an ambitious project," says Film Clinic founder and CEO Mohamed Hefzy. "This partnership brings together producers who are not just commercially savvy but deeply passionate about stories that resonate globally."
