Catherine North, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. North established North Veterinary Clinic in 1994 to provide personalized health care to area pets. A native New Englander, Dr. North graduated from Michigan State University in 1983. After spending several years in mixed animal practice in Michigan, she and her family moved to Connecticut. Dr. North and her family share their home with dogs, cats, horses, sheep, and chickens, many of which are "second chance rescues." Says Dr. North: "Animals are my passion, both home and at work. They have enriched my life in so many ways."

Tracy Zulick, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Tracy Zulick grew up in Mansfield, Connecticut. She received her animal science degree at the University of Connecticut. Many years later when she was analyzing her career path, she decided to follow her dream and went to Tufts Veterinary School. Dr. Zulick lives in Ashford with her husband Rick. They own an old farmhouse (that was originally purchased by Rick’s grandparents in 1908!) and have a small farm where they raise hay, vegetables, fruit, sheep, chickens and turkeys. They have three adult married children and three grandchildren. Their pets include 2 cats and one dog. For fun they like to hike, bird watch, and go sailing.

Sarah Plante, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Sarah Plante grew up in Ellington, Connecticut. She was a Girl Scout for 12 years, and always loved animals despite never owning any. She attended Becker College, graduating with a B.S. in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she worked as a certified veterinary technician before being accepted to veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. Her final year of vet school took place at The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved back to Connecticut. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Bailey, and her husband, Collin. She also enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

Practice Manger
Laura joined our team the as Practice Manager. She combines her love of all animals with her managerial skills to bring support to all aspects of the clinic. Laura’s spare time is dedicated to her farm that is sanctuary to a menagerie of senior pets. Laura says: “My animals are my babies and caring for them into their golden years is a calling and a joy.” “It is a privilege to be a part of Fenton River North Vet Clinic where all our patients are treated like family”

Veterinary Technician
Carrie has worked with Dr. North for 30 years. She has a bachelor's degree in animal science and is a certified veterinary technician. Away from the office, Carrie and her husband enjoy the company German Shepherd dogs and their cat who supervises all activity.

Samantha
Veterinary Assistant
Samantha joined North Veterinary Clinic in 2009. Sam's animal career began as she was a young adult, working at boarding kennels and supervising doggy daycares. After earning her associates degree in animal care from Becker College in 2008, she began working as an animal control officer. Sam prides herself in helping pet owners understand the treatments and medications prescribed for their pet. She also holds a special place in her heart for rescued and unsocialized pets. In Sam's free time she enjoys caring for and spending time with her daughter and her own pets, three rescue dogs, and two rescue cats.

Veterinary Receptionist
Vicki joined North Veterinary Clinic in June 2016. Sheearned her associates degree in Veterinary Technology from NorthwesternConnecticut Community College in 2005. She then received hercertification as a veterinary technician from CVMA in 2005 and the MVTA in2015. Vicki also received her hairdresser license in 2013.Shelives with her Husband Stephen, their son Louis, and cat; Eleanor, a labradoodle, Bucky, and a lab mix, Quill. Vicki alsoenjoys sharing her knowledge in animalnutrition, and inher spare time she enjoys the outdoors, yoga, and timewith her family.

Katie joined our team at North Veterinary Clinic in Augustof 2017. She has been a vet tech for 15 years. Katie graduated from Framingham State University. In Katie’s free time she enjoysvolunteering and fostering for a local cat rescue, Here Today Adopted Tomorrow.She has 6 rescue cats at home, 2 rescue dogs, and many chickens. Katie comesfrom a big family and has many nieces and nephews she spends time with as wellas her husband, Casey.

Veterinary Technician
Jessica joined our team in January 2021 with 10 years experience. Jessica started her career working at a kennel and assisting taking care of Siberian husky show dogs. Her passion for animals pushed her to go further and she completed the veterinary assistant program at Quinebaug Valley Community college in 2010. Following her completion she immediately started working in the veterinary field and knew that this is where she belongs. Jessica loves to learn and grow in the field and help pets live their best lives. In her spare time, she loves to go to concerts with her boyfriend and spend time with her French bulldog and her two cats.

Jaimie moved to Stafford, CT from Massachusetts with her husband, Joe and son, Maverick in June of 2020. She has 2 dogs Niko and Roxy. She enjoys crafting and being outdoors.

Stephanie joined us in April of 2021 with 6 months of experience in the veterinary field. Stephanie completed the Veterinary Assistant course at QVCC in 2021 and started in the veterinary field while completing the course. Outside of work, Stephanie is very outdoorsy and loves hiking, camping, and kayaking with her 3 cats and dog. She also has guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, ducks, sheep, goats, and a pig!
