Clairvia Webgives you the data and tools you need to take part in the scheduling process. You can access Clairvia Web over the internet or through your organization's intranet.
Depending on the region and language settings of your computer, and the date setting on yourStaff Managerserver,Staff Managerdisplays the dates accordingly. For example, if you are using a computer withMicrosoftWindows, your region and language settings control how dates are displayed inStaff Manager.
Based on your initial date settings, Staff Manager supports the following short date formats:
- Two-digit day, two-digit month, and two-digit year (dd/mm/yy and dd-mm-yy)
- Two-digit day, two-digit month, and four-digit year (dd/mm/yyyy and dd-mm-yyyy)
- Two-digit month, two-digit day, and two-digit year (mm/dd/yy and mm-dd-yy)
- Two-digit month, two-digit day, and four-digit year (mm/dd/yyyy and mm-dd-yyyy)
- Two-digit year, two-digit month, and two-digit day (yy/mm/dd and yy-mm-dd)
- Four-digit year, two-digit month, and two-digit day (yyyy/mm/dd and yyyy-mm-dd)
Staff Managerdoes not support short dates that require the use of text in mmm/dd/yy format, such as Mar/01/14. In cases where Staff Manager writes out the month and year, it uses the format Month Year, such as December 2013. Email notification messages and Interface Manager configurations use the date format set on your Staff Manager server.
Dates in Clairvia Web
Clairvia Web enforces a two-digit month and day numerical date format, adding a zero to single digit months and days. For example, if your date settings use the format d/m/yyyy,Clairvia Webuses a dd/mm/yyyy format. Similarly, Clairvia Web enforces a four-digit year format even if your date settings call for a two-digit year.
Dates in Staff Manager Reports
Due to limitations in crystal reports, Staff Managerclient report recognizes the date settings of your computer.
Due to space limitations, Staff Manager can drop leading zeros from months and days. Date separators are aligned with the date settings of your computer.
Dates in Staff Manager Client
For Staff Managerusers, if you select an unsupported date format, the following message is displayed each time you log in and each time your computer date settings are changed.
The format of your system short date is not supported by this application:
The day setting or the month setting or both use names instead of numbers.
This application requires numbers to represent dates (such as 01/01/2013).
Do you approve of a change to set the short date system settings to the supported numerical format?
Selecting NO will cause date format problems in this application.
Selecting YES will change your system to use numerical day and month formats.
Date formatting in Staff Managerhas the following known limitations:
- Calendar pop-up windows, Schedule Navigator headings, and similar pages may show month and year (such as March 2014) regardless of the Region and language settings.
- Report dates may display as single digit day-month (such as 1-3 or 15-3) even when short date format is set to display a two-digit date and a month abbreviation.
- The impact of exceptions on Workload Report Crystal Report Parameter dialog box does not recognize location short date format.
- If you select a format that involves the name of the month in a language other than English, you may see inconsistencies in how the solution displays the month name.
Staff Managercan accommodate environments in which organizations spanning time zones also share the same servers. Your clinical consultant sets thetime zone of each facility inStaff Manager Administrator, along with whether the facility uses daylight savingtime (DST), where applicable. By default, the solution sets all facilities to use the time zone of your database server time.
Staff Manageruses facility-based time zone setting for the following features:
- Facility-based reporting
- Display of data As of information, such as the Now onDemand Manager pages and current acuity data
Where appropriate, date and time displays include the time zone identifier, such as EST for Eastern standard time or MDT for Mountain Daylight Time.Staff Managerupdates the time zone identifier as you move through facilities so that it displays the time of the facility you are viewing. Because you can run audit reports across facilities, the solution writes all audit data using the database server time. Reports that include a date and time stamp use the time zone of your workstation.
Note
Staff Manager receives its date and time information directly from your server, so you never have to change the time and date settings for either DST or standard time.
Operating Systems
Cerner Clairvia suite is fully compatible with Windows operating application (OS). It is not designed for compatibility with the Mac, Linux, or Androidoperating systems.
Devices
You can best view Clairvia Web using a desktop or laptop computer. While you can view Clairvia Web with smartphones and tablets (Windows, Android, or iPad), you may have difficulties in accessing or using some pages. For example, the right-click context menu may not function as expected due to the difference in display size and the device OS.
Browsers
Clairvia Web has been optimized for use with MicrosoftInternet Explorer in Compatibility View mode; however, we have made and continue to make enhancements to achieve cross browser compatibility. Our initial efforts have focused on high volume and high use pages accessed by employees on a regular basis, such as the My Requests page. This page is fully cross-browser compatible, although the Filters Setup button is only available to Internet Explorerusers because the Filters Setup page is not cross-browser compatible.
